TEWKSBURY – Chief Ryan Columbus reports that the Tewksbury Police Department arrested and charged a Tewksbury man with trafficking cocaine and possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.
JOHN DECOLOGERO, AGE 49, OF TEWKSBURY, was arrested and charged with:
- Trafficking Cocaine (18 to 36 Grams)
- Possession of a Class B Substance (Methamphetamine) with Intent to Distribute (Subsequent Offense)
- Possession of Suboxone (Subsequent Offense)
On Wednesday, July 6, Tewksbury Police Detectives were conducting surveillance on DECOLOGERO as a result of a months-long investigation into drug distribution within the community.
Investigators observed DECOLOGERO conducting what they believed to be a drug transaction, and later stopped DECOLOGERO‘s carafter observing a traffic violation on Main Street.
A subsequent K-9 search of the vehicle driven by DECOLOGERO led to the discovery of approximately 26 grams of cocaine and approximately 12 grams of methamphetamine that was pressed into tablet form, as well as several Suboxone strips.
DECOLOGERO is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday in Lowell District Court.
These are allegations. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty.
