STONEHAM — Chief James McIntyre is pleased to share that the Stoneham Police Department is seeking active officers interested in transferring to a role in Stoneham.
Stoneham Police are seeking highly motivated, proactive and community-oriented officers for an open role. Interested applicants must have civil service status under Chapter 31 and be eligible for transfer from their current department. They must also have completed the Municipal Police Training Committee’s full-time academy, and possess a Massachusetts drivers license and a license to carry firearms.
“We are looking for individuals who have already begun their careers in law enforcement and who possess a strong ability to solve problems and connect in a meaningful way with the community they serve,” Chief McIntyre said.
The salary range for this position is between $55,675 and $70,403. The Stoneham Police Department offers additional benefits, including an education incentive, a night shift differential of 6 or 7 percent depending on shift, $900 annual uniform allowance, $200 annual cleaning allowance and 6 percent specialist pay for certain positions. The department also offers a $120 per week senior step pay after 20 years of employment.
