GROVELAND — Town Administrator Rebecca Oldham is pleased to announce the launch of the new Groveland Town Website.
The new grovelandma.com website, now features a user friendly and easy to navigate design which includes:
- A categorized news blog for quick and easy access to town news and events
- Community Calendar
- Documents and Forms Library
- Custom Department and Committee Landing Pages
- COVID-19 and Public Health Information
- Directory of parks, points of interest and local businesses
- Municipal government employment opportunities
- Integration with Groveland’s Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages
The homepage features an expansive menu, which allows the users to access Town Government Offices, Pay Your Bills Online, Community Resources and news related to COVID-19. In addition, users immediately have access to an expansive search feature of the site, the community calendar, trash & recycling and more.
The vision behind the redesign was to re-brand the town of Groveland and create a sense of community among all departments such as Town Hall, Police, Fire, Water & Sewer and the Library. As a result, the Groveland town logo was created with elements from Elm Park, such as Elm Trees and the Gazebo that represent historical aspects of the town. The official Groveland Town Seal still depicts the town’s past as a part Rowley and Bradford. (The building on the town seal is actually the Rowley Town Hall.)
As part of the redesign, new logos were created for the Police, Fire, Langley Adams Library, and Groveland Water and Sewer departments with the familiar green color. Residents can now access all these sites through interactive pictures located in the footer of each site.
“I am very excited for the launch of our new site and branding. Not only will our residents be able to navigate the site with ease, but the new online presence will propel Groveland forward into the modern era and make information sharing easier for residents, visitors and business owners alike,” Town Administrator Oldham said. “The interactive features give residents the ability to access anything with one click of a button. I am very appreciative of everyone’s help who worked on the project, and their willingness to make our ideas into a reality.”
Grovelandma.com is linked to all town social media accounts to ensure consistency of information. Residents can subscribe to the town site to receive email alerts of news updates and press releases posted to the website.
Stay tuned for coming weeks there will be more information about the new features on the site.
The new website and branding images were created by John Guilfoil Public Relations LLC which also provides communications services to the town and several of its agencies. Company founder John Guilfoil and Website Project Manager Kristen Potter are both Groveland residents.
