TAUNTON — Chief Edward J. Walsh reports that the Taunton Police Department is actively investigating a shooting that occurred Wednesday evening.
At approximately 8:10 p.m. Wednesday, Taunton Police responded to the area of Mador Ave. for a report of a shooting.
Upon arrival, police located the victim, a 44-year-old Taunton man, who had been shot. He was transported by ambulance to an area hospital where he is being treated for his injuries.
The Taunton Fire Department and Brewster Ambulance also responded to the scene.
The incident remains under active investigation and no additional information is available at this time. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Taunton Police Detective Robert Kramer at 508-821-1475 ext. 3323.
