Gloucester Police Department Announces Officer Sean Riley’s Academy Graduation

GLOUCESTER 一 Chief Edward G. Conley is pleased to share that Officer Sean Riley has graduated from the Recruit Officer Course (ROC) at Reading Police Academy. 

Officer Riley has served the department since May 2019 as a reserve police officer. He started as a full-time officer in February. 

Officer Riley is a lifelong Gloucester resident and is a 2011 graduate of Gloucester High School. He has an Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice from North Shore Community College.

On June 28, Officer Riley graduated as part of the 34th ROC Reading Police Academy. The 20-week program covers policing best practices with specific emphasis on problem solving, procedural justice, ethical decision making, and fair and impartial policing. 

Officer Riley will begin his field training on July 1.
