TOWNSEND — Superintendent Brad Morgan is pleased to announce that David Hill will be the next principal of Varnum Brook Elementary School (VBES).
After being unanimously supported by the interview committee, David Hill will become the newest principal of VBES, formally assuming the role July 1.
Hill has deep experience working in education, having served seven years as the principal for Dracut Public Schools, and as the Dracut Public Schools Director of Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment since 2012. Prior to working in Dracut, Hill was a third grade teacher within the Los Angeles Unified School District, as well as the assistant principal in the Groton-Dunstable school district.
During his 16 years with Dracut Public Schools, Hill created a collaborative school culture with purposeful student involvement, dedicated time to focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion among faculty and admin, as well as implemented concepts such as Professional Learning Communities to improve classroom practice and student growth.
Hill’s broad range of experience in education conveys his passion of making connections with students, parents, and faculty, and his presence will not only benefit VBES, but the North Middlesex Regional School District as a whole.
