MATTAPOISETT — Superintendent Michael S. Nelson is pleased to announce that Shari Fedorowicz has been selected to be the new Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning for the Old Rochester Regional School District and MA Superintendency Union #55.
Fedorowicz was appointed to the position at a joint School Committee meeting on Monday, June 27. She will be transitioning into the role over the summer months.

As the Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning, my goal is to develop strong working relationships with educators, staff, and the community to work as a team to excel and grow the districts for the benefit of the students. I am proud to be working with such passionate educators and the community.”
Fedorowicz has close to 20 years of experience as an educator, 15 of which are as a Central Office administrator. She currently serves as the Director of Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment for the Abington Public Schools, a position she has held since 2013.
In this role, Fedorowicz works with Central Office and building administration teams in reviewing, developing and updating policies and curriculum. She also works with district and school leaders on budgets, in addition to writing and overseeing federal, state and local grants. Additionally, she organizes and implements professional development districtwide.
Fedorowicz has also served as an Adjunct Professor in Psychology at Bridgewater State University since January 2020.
Prior to her role with the Abington Public Schools, Fedorowicz worked as the Director of Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment in the Medway Public Schools and the Director of Curriculum, Instruction and Technology in the Carver Public Schools. She began her career in education in 2003 as a science teacher within the Silver Lake Regional Schools in Kingston, and later the Weymouth Public Schools.
Fedorowicz is a member of several professional associations, including the Massachusetts Association of School Superintendents and the association’s Professional Development Committee, and is an Executive Board Member on the Curriculum Leadership Council at Bridgewater State University.
She holds a doctorate in educational leadership from Lesley University and a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in education administration from Bridgewater State University.
