DUNSTABLE — The Dunstable Fire Department is pleased to announce that department members participated in fire education program at a local elementary school.
The Dunstable Fire Department visited Swallow Union Elementary School on Friday, June 10 to celebrate the end of the school year with fourth grade students.
Firefighter Denise Boodoo and Firefighter Kate Kearns of the Life Safety and Public Education Department of Dunstable Fire, spoke with students about fire safety, stop, drop, and roll techniques and what to do in an emergency. Kearns and Boodoo also handed out cupcakes alongside Engine 1.
Firefighter Jon McCue dressed as Sparky the Dog to create an interactive and fun experience for all and even got a ‘Sparky’ chant going among students.
The Dunstable Fire Department would like to wish students good luck as they start fifth grade next fall, and remind them to stay safe and have fun this summer!
