BEDFORD – Chief John J. Bryfonski reports that Bedford Police Department and law enforcement partners located and charged a Bedford man in connection with a domestic incident, during which a gunshot was fired.
CRISTIAN CASTRO, AGE 34, OF BEDFORD, was arrested and charged with:
- Simple Assault
- Criminal Threatening
- Reckless Conduct
- Being a Felon in Possession of a Dangerous Weapon
On Thursday, June 2, at about 10:42 p.m., Bedford Police received a complaint about a domestic incident at a residence on Donald Street, and that a shot had been fired from a firearm.
During a preliminary investigation, responding officers learned that a single shot had been fired, and that a man later confirmed to be CASTRO had left the scene. No one was injured.
Upon further investigation, Bedford Police determined CASTRO was at a hotel in Manchester.
With the assistance of the Manchester Police Department, Bedford Police officers arrested CASTRO at the hotel without incident.
CASTRO is being held on preventive detention. He is scheduled for arraignment on Monday, June 6, at 11 a.m., at the Hillsborough County Superior Court North.
