NORTH ATTLEBOROUGH — Superintendent John Antonucci is pleased to report that Amy Souls has been chosen as the new Director of the North Attleborough Public Schools Early Learning Center.
Director Souls has been the Principal of the Marion E. Zeh School in Northborough since 2018. In her role, she lead and managed day-to-day operations of the school, supported teaching and learning in collaboration with district and curriculum leaders, managed school-based budgets, observed and evaluated all staff members, aligned professional learning to the district’s strategic plan, and more. She also authored the School Improvement Plan in collaboration with school, district and community members and supported culturally responsive, equitable, and social-emotional teaching practices.
Previously, Director Souls served as Assistant Principal at the Helen Keller Elementary School in Franklin, Special Educator at Charles G. Taylor Elementary School in Foxborough, and Special Educator at the Mabelle M. Burrell Elementary School in Foxborough.
She has a wealth of experience in teacher evaluation, managing IEPs for students, leading support teams, and more. Throughout her career in education she has worked to partner with families and community members while establishing an environment that supports high expectations for student achievement, academic rigor and high-quality professional development for staff. She also believes that a safe environment, both physically and social-emotionally, is crucial to a positive elementary experience.
“I am honored to become a member of the North Attleborough School District as the Director of the Early Learning Center,” Director Souls said. “I look forward to working alongside students, families and staff to ensure a culture where all members feel supported academically, socially, emotionally and intellectually.”
Director Souls received her Bachelor of Science degree from Lesley College, her Master of Education in Pre-K-8 Moderate Special Education from Lesley College, her Principal Licensure from Curry College, and her Special Education Administration Licensure through the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
She will assume the role of Director of the Early Learning Center July 1.
