BURLINGTON — Fire Chief Michael Patterson and Police Chief Thomas P. Browne report that the Burlington Police and Fire Departments responded to a work site accident on Friday morning.

At 9:29 a.m., Burlington dispatchers received a 911 call reporting an accident outside a business at 86 Cambridge St. Arriving first responders learned that a painter working on the building exterior had fallen 25 feet from a ladder.

The first responders treated the worker, who is in their 30s, for a serious head injury and stabilized them. The worker was transported by ambulance to an area hospital for further treatment of their injuries.

State Police and representatives of the federal Occupational Highway and Safety Administration also responded to the scene.

The incident is currently under investigation.
