DRACUT — Deputy Chief David Chartrand reports that the Dracut Police Department arrested and charged a man with possession of child pornography.
KYLE MURR, AGE 24, OF DRACUT, was arrested and charged with:
- Possession of Child Pornography
As a result of a Cybertip sent from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, Dracut Police launched an investigation earlier this year into material that was uploaded to the internet, allegedly from a location in Dracut.
As a result of that investigation, Dracut Police obtained a search warrant for MURR‘s residence, and recovered evidence that includes several devices, photographs and videos.
MURR was taken into custody on April 28 and arraigned in Lowell District Court on April 29. At arraignment, Judge Stacey Fortes set bail at $1,000 and ordered the defendant not to have any contact with children under 18. The next court date in this case is June 17, 2022.
These are allegations. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty.
