On Friday, April 29, at approximately 2:30 p.m., Tewksbury Police received a report that a woman had been robbed in the parking lot of a retail complex at 333 Main St.
An initial investigation determined the woman was walking back to her vehicle after shopping at approximately 1:30 p.m., when she was approached by a red Chevrolet sport utility vehicle with no front license plate.
A male was driving the vehicle and a female was in the front passenger seat. The vehicle pulled up to the victim, and the passenger started talking to the victim in a low voice. When the victim moved closer to the vehicle so she could hear the passenger, the passenger grabbed the woman’s necklace from around her neck and the vehicle drove off.
There were no reported injuries.
