ARLINGTON — Chief Julie Flaherty is pleased to announce that the Arlington Police Department arrested and charged a man with possession with intent to distribute over two pounds of marijuana as a result of a traffic stop.

KEITH EDWARD LOMBARDI, AGE 54, OF ARLINGTON, was arrested and charged with:

  • Possession of Marijuana With Intent To Distribute
  • Operating With a Suspended License
  • Operating an Unregistered Motor Vehicle
  • Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle
  • Possessing or Using a False or Stolen RMV Document (Inspection Sticker)
  • Attaching Plates

On Monday, Feb. 28, at approximately 11:47 a.m., an Arlington Police patrolman noticed a vehicle being operated by LOMBARDI in the area of River Street in Arlington. LOMBARDI is known to Arlington Police, and has been known to operate unregistered motor vehicles even though his license is suspended.

On Monday, LOMBARDI was driving a 2021 Ford F-150 pickup that had cancelled registration plates coming back to a 2006 Mercedes Benz. An officer pulled LOMBARDI over on River Street, confirmed that LOMBARDI’s license was suspended, and placed LOMBARDI into custody. An investigation also determined that LOMBARDI had removed an inspection sticker from another vehicle and placed it on the pickup he was driving.

A subsequent inventory search of the vehicle led to the discovery of over two pounds of marijuana and over $24,000 in U.S. currency. The marijuana was packaged in 12 individually wrapped baggies, each containing approximately 3 ounces of marijuana.

“In this instance, the diligent work of an Arlington Police officer shuttered the operation of a drug dealer who is well-known to police,” Chief Flaherty said.

LOMBARDI is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday in Cambridge District Court.

These are allegations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
