MEDWAY — Athletic Director Jeff Parcells and Principal John Murray are pleased to announce that three Medway High School student-athletes last week committed to continue their athletic careers at the collegiate level.
On Wednesday, Nov. 24, Sophie Brady signed a commitment form and Evan Monaghan and Mikayla Perez signed National Letters of Intent (NLI).
Dressed in clothing from the colleges they will be attending next fall, the students filled out NLI/Commitment paperwork with family members, coaches, fellow students and school staff present. The signed paperwork will be sent to each students’ respective college to confirm their commitment.
Brady signed her commitment form to play Division 3 field hockey at Union College in Schenectady, New York. She was named a Tri-Valley League (TVL) Most Valuable Player and Boston Globe All-Star following the 2020 season, and served as a team captain for the 2021 season.
Monaghan signed his NLI to compete as a Division 2 lacrosse player at Saint Anselm College in Manchester, New Hampshire. He was named a TVL All-Star in the spring.
Perez signed her NLI to play Division 2 soccer at the College of Saint Rose in Albany, New York. Perez was named a TVL All-Star this fall and served as a team captain this season.
“We are very proud of these athletes who have put a lot of hard work into developing their athletic skills and contributing to their respective teams,” Director Parcells said. “Congratulations to Sophie, Evan and Mikayla. We are excited to see what they will accomplish in their collegiate athletic careers.”
