GEORGETOWN — Chief Donald C. Cudmore is pleased to share that the Georgetown Police Department collected a record-breaking amount of donations at this year’s food drive to benefit Our Neighbors’ Table.
The annual event took place on Saturday, Nov. 20 at Crosby’s Market, 62 Central St. Georgetown Police collected 2,220 pounds of food items and $435 in gift cards, which is approximately double the amount collected 2019, to be donated to Our Neighbors’ Table in Amesbury.
Officers collected 1,173 pounds of food and $160 in gift cards in 2019.
“I am proud and humbled by the outcome of this year’s food drive. We received more donations this year than we ever have in the past, and I would like to thank every person who donated for their generosity,” said Chief Cudmore. “It is amazing what we can do when we come together as a community to support a great cause.”
