EASTON — Chief Justin Alexander is pleased to announce the promotion of Lt. Jeff Dupuis.
Lt. Dupuis was sworn into his new rank during a pinning ceremony at the Easton Select Board meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 9.
Lt. Dupuis has 14 years of service as a firefighter/paramedic with the Easton Fire Department, joining the department in 2007. He currently serves as the department’s EMS training coordinator.
Dupuis is certified as an EMT Instructor Coordinator and is certified through the American Heart Association as an instructor for CPR/First Aid, Pediatric Advanced Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support. He has also completed Fire Officer 1, 2 and 3 training.
Lt. Dupuis was part of a group of Easton firefighters who received an Exceptional Response Award from Bristol North EMS, an EMS council made up of local fire departments and public and private ambulance services in partnership with three hospitals in northern Bristol County.
He has also received the Stork Award, which recognizes firefighter/paramedics who have delivered babies.
“Lt. Dupuis has an outstanding career with the Easton Fire Department and has made many worthwhile contributions to department operations, especially in the emergency medicine area,” Chief Alexander said. “I am confident that he will be an excellent addition to department leadership and I congratulate him on his promotion.”
