HOLBROOK — Chief William Smith reports that the Holbrook Police Department took a subject into custody without further incident or injury at approximately 4 p.m. this evening after he had barricaded himself inside a residence on Union Street earlier in the day.
NOAH R. HENNESSEY, AGE 31, OF HOLBROOK, was arrested and charged with:
- Resisting Arrest
HENNESSEY was also arrested on six outstanding warrants from Plymouth and Norfolk counties.
At approximately 11 a.m., Holbrook Police responded to a home on Union Street to serve an arrest warrant on HENNESSEY, who subsequently barricaded himself inside a home at 21 Union St.
Nearby homes were evacuated and a perimeter was established out of an abundance of caution while mutual aid from the Metropolitan Law Enforcement Council (MetroLEC) and Massachusetts State Police were requested at the scene. Union Street was partially closed down while the scene was still active, but it has since been reopened.
A female who was in the home was able to escape unharmed out a back window before Holbook Police, MetroLEC and State Police were able to bring the situation to a peaceful resolution and take HENNESSEY into custody.
HENNESSEY will be held overnight at the Holbrook Police Department. He will be arraigned Tuesday in Quincy District Court.
These are allegations. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
