PEPPERELL — Police Chief David Scott is pleased to announce the appointment of two new officers to the ranks at the Pepperell Police Department. Patrick Brennan was hired as a new full-time officer and Nolan Baird was appointed as a new reserve officer.
Officer Brennan comes to Pepperell after working at the Maynard Police Department, where he served as a full-time patrol officer since graduating from the Northern Essex Community College Police Academy in 2016.
He is a Crisis Intervention Team certified officer and also a Rapid Deployment Awareness Intervention Decisiveness EMS Recovery (R.A.I.D.E.R.)instructor and a Field Training Officer.
Officer Baird is a recent graduate of the Fitchburg State University Police Program and therefore is full-time academy trained and completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice. He previously completed an internship with the Lunenburg Police Department.
“We were very lucky to have a good group of qualified applicants to select from to fill these roles, and I’m confident that Patrick and Nolan will both serve the community well as members of our department,” Chief Scott said.
Both new officers’ first day in Pepperell was Monday, Nov. 8. They will complete several weeks of field training prior to working on their own.
