GLOUCESTER — Chief Edward Conley is pleased to announce that the Gloucester Police Department has welcomed its newest full-time officer.
Officer Santo Parisi is a lifelong Gloucester resident who graduated from Gloucester High School in 2013. He went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Westfield State University, and last week graduated from the Reading Police Academy.
While taking part in academy coursework, Officer Parisi was recognized as his class’ top vehicle operator during the Emergency Vehicle Operator Course. The course is designed to teach officers the skills and requirements for operating an emergency vehicle during a pursuit or other emergency responses.
“We are excited to welcome Officer Parisi, and look forward to the contributions he’ll make in service to the community he’s called home for his whole life,” Chief Conley said.
As the Gloucester Police Department’s newest officer, Parisi will begin a 16-week field training program.
