IPSWICH – Town Manager Anthony Marino and Director of Public Health Colleen Fermon share that the COVID-19 Community Tracing Collaborative (CTC) is continuing to support the Town with COVID-related contract tracing and case investigations.
The state CTC program supports municipal health departments. The CTC reaches out to people who have tested positive for COVID-19, and ensuring they have support should they need to isolate.
The CTC also requests information about anyone that person may have come into close contact with. The CTC will phone or text those close contacts to encourage them to self-quarantine and to seek testing.
CTC calls use the prefix 833 and 857, and show the caller “MA COVID Team.” Calls are made from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily.
“The CTC is a trusted program. Residents should be aware that their name and information are part of private medical records, and will remain strictly confidential,” Director Fermon said. “We encourage everyone who may be contacted by the CTC to answer the call and provide information to help keep our community safe.”
The CTC will continue to help the Town of Ipswich through the end of November.
