AVON — Town Administrator Gregory S. Enos and Health Agent Kathleen Waldron would like to invite residents to receive their flu vaccine at a clinic hosted by the Avon Board of Health later this month.
The clinic will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 19 from noon to 5 p.m. at St. Michael’s Church, 87 North Main St.
This will be a drive-thru flu clinic. All participants will be asked to remain in their car and wear a short sleeve or loose-fitting shirt. The entrance will be the St. Michael’s parking lot from North Main Street.
Anyone over 9 years of age may receive the flu shot. The high-dose flu shot is available for anyone over the age of 65.
All insurance carriers are being accepted. There is no cost if you have insurance, but you must bring your insurance card. Anyone 65 years old or older should bring their Medicare Part B card. Out-of-pocket cost is $44.92 for the quadrivalent and $76.50 for the high dose.
There is no rain date for the clinic.
