DRACUT — Police Chief Peter Bartlett reports that the Dracut Police Department is investigating an incident where shots were fired at a vehicle following an apparent road rage incident last night.
On Saturday, Sept, 4, at approximately 7:15 p.m., Dracut Police responded to the area of Pleasant Street for a report of a road rage incident.
The victims, a 32-year-old woman from Lowell who was the driver, a 33-year-old man from Hudson, NH, and their child, were traveling on Bridge Street near Dracut Convenience Center when the road rage incident began. The woman told police that the suspect repeatedly drove in the wrong lane in an attempt to get beside her car. Eventually, the suspect passed the victims and slammed on his brakes. According to the victim, she was attempting to maneuver her vehicle around the suspect’s when the suspect exited his car and shot at her vehicle.
The victims did not report any injuries.
The suspect is described as a young Hispanic male approximately 5 feet, 10 inches tall with a thin build. At the time of the incident, the suspect was wearing a white tank top and red shorts. The suspect’s vehicle is described as a light blue Honda CRV. The vehicle fled the area following the incident and has not been located.
