First Episode To Be Released Aug. 31, With New Episodes Throughout September
MANSFIELD — Superintendent Teresa Murphy is pleased to announce that the Mansfield Public Schools will be launching a back-to-school podcast to coincide with the start of the 2021-22 school year.
The “Hello Hornets” podcast will debut on Tuesday, Aug. 31 when teachers return to schools in Mansfield. The first day for students is Wednesday, Sept. 1.
Episodes will be shared on the Mansfield Public Schools news blog at mansfieldschoolnews.com/podcast, as well as on the MPS Facebook and Twitter accounts. They will feature interviews with school administrators, building principals, teachers and other key stakeholders. Topics for episodes include safety and security improvements on school properties, different clubs and activities for students, ways the district engages students in literacy, upcoming drama and performing arts shows, athletics and much more.
“We are thrilled to be launching this podcast as a way to show the Mansfield school community all of the exciting things we have going on in our schools and district-wide,” Superintendent Murphy said. “One thing that the past few years has shown is that this district is filled with so many passionate and highly skilled teachers and administrators, and we hope to highlight all of the things they do on a daily basis to make the Mansfield Public Schools such a terrific place. We also hope it will be engaging for our students and their families, so they can learn more about the people they see throughout the year in the classroom, in the hallways and during afterschool events.”
Superintendent Murphy will be the guest on the first episode, and future episodes will be released periodically throughout the month of September.
