ROCKLAND — Superintendent Alan Cron and the Rockland Public Schools would like to congratulate student Nadia Dutton for winning the Massachusetts VaxMillions Giveaway earlier this month.
As part of the fourth round of winners in the state’s VaxMillions giveaway, Dutton, who will be a sophomore at Rockland High School for this upcoming school year, received a $300,000 college scholarship.
Dutton is a member of the Rockland High School volleyball, basketball and lacrosse teams and hopes to pursue a career as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist in college.
“Our entire school community congratulates Nadia on being recognized with this scholarship,” Superintendent Cron said. “Her decision to receive the vaccine and for wishing to pursue a career in nursing is commendable. We encourage all of our students and staff who are eligible to get vaccinated if they haven’t already, for the overall safety of our district and our community.”
