LITTLETON – The Town of Littleton Select Board and Town Administrator Anthony M. Ansaldi Jr. share that the state’s #TrustTheFacts mobile vaccination bus will make two stops in town.
On Thursday, Aug. 26, the Vax Bus will stop at:
- The Point, 812 Constitution Ave., between Market Basket and Digital Credit Union, from 12-3:30 p.m.
- 20 Foster St., next to the Littleton Fire Station by Fay Park, from 4-8 p.m.
The #TrustTheFacts mobile vaccination bus provides easy, free, and convenient COVID-19 vaccinations to those who are eligible.
“The mobile vaccination bus offers our community an easy and accessible vaccination clinic,” Town Administrator Ansaldi said. “We encourage anyone who has not been vaccinated to attend, and to keep themselves and those around them safe during this pandemic.”
Clinics are open to all ages 12 and older. No appointment is needed. Attendees do not have to show identification. Proof of health insurance is not required.
Vaccinations will take place at one of six stations inside the bus. The Vax Bus offers either dose of the two-dose Pfizer vaccine, and the single-shot Janssen (Johnson & Johnson) vaccine. Those who receive the first dose of the Pfizer vaccine will receive a vaccination record card, which will include a time and date to receive a second dose.
The Vax Bus is authorized to deliver third doses of vaccine only to those who are immunocompromised. Those who are immunocompromised and are seeking a third dose of Pfizer vaccine are asked to bring their Vaccine Record Card, and asked to self-attest that they are eligible for a third dose of Pfizer.
The Vax Bus will not administer booster shots to the general public.
Elder and Human Services is offering free transportation to both clinics. Anyone needing a ride is asked to call the Dispatch Center at 978-844-6809.
All who attend the clinics are invited to Littleton’s Third Thursday event, featuring food, music and family fun, from 5-8 p.m. on the Town Common.
