“Putting the final beams on the building is an exciting step and signifies the progress made during the first stages of construction of a building project,” Superintendent Cabral said. “We are excited to provide the opportunity for future Blanche A. Ames Elementary School community members and those who have supported the project along the way to sign this beam, which will become part of the history of the building and of our district.”
The beam will be one of the final beams placed on top of the new school as part of a Topping Off Ceremony that is expected to take place later this month, which signifies the progress to date and the beginning of the next stages of work on the building. The Topping Off Ceremony will not be open to the public.
