TAUNTON — City of Taunton Mayor Shaunna O’Connell, Superintendent John Cabral and Director of Student Services and Transportation and Title IX Coordinator Kathy Perry encourage community members to take advantage of the Commonwealth’s #TrustTheFacts mobile vaccination bus that will be visiting Taunton High School Monday.
The #TrustTheFacts mobile vaccination bus is scheduled to make stops across Massachusetts, from Pittsfield to Provincetown. The mobile vaccination bus will provide easy, free and convenient COVID-19 vaccinations to those who are eligible.
The Vax Bus will visit the City of Taunton on Monday, Aug. 2 at Taunton High School, 50 Williams St., from 4-7 p.m.
“As a hosting site of the #TrustTheFacts mobile vaccination bus, we encourage all community members to take advantage of this easily accessible clinic and get their COVID-19 vaccine to help stop the spread of coronavirus,” Superintendent Cabral said.
Vaccinations will take place inside the Vax Bus mobile unit in one of the six vaccination stations. Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson vaccines will be available to those who attend. No appointment, ID or health insurance card is needed to receive a vaccine on the Vax Bus.
The Pfizer vaccine will be available to community members ages 12+. Community members between the ages of 12 and 17 will need a signed waiver from a parent or guardian, but do not need an adult present with them at the time of the inoculation. The J&J vaccine will only be available to those ages 18+.
After receiving the vaccine, community members will receive a vaccination record card. For those who receive the Pfizer vaccine, the vaccination card will inform them of their second dose date and time.
All individuals vaccinated on the Vax Bus Tour are eligible to enter to win tickets to concerts at the TD Garden, including:
- Ricky Martin & Enrique Iglesias
- The Weeknd
- Kiss 108 Jingleball
