LITTLETON – Chief Matthew Pinard reports that the Littleton Police Department arrested a man Monday following an alleged road rage incident.
COLIN SPERANDIO, AGE 44, OF ACTON, was arraigned on July 19, 2021 on the charges of:
- Assault with a Dangerous Weapon
- Unlawful Possession of a Firearm
- Possession of a Firearm without an FID card
- Negligent Operation of a Motor Vehicle.
Judge Margaret Guzman released the defendant on personal recognizance with the conditions that he doesn’t carry any firearms or ammunition and has no avoidable contact with the victim. The next date in this case is September 8, 2021.
At noontime on Monday, July 19, Littleton Police received a report from a man who claimed that another man, later identified as SPERANDIO, had threatened him with a firearm after an alleged altercation between the men while driving their respective vehicles.
The victim reported that he was traveling eastbound on Great Road when SPERANDIO, traveling in a Subaru, allegedly passed him in the oncoming travel lane. According to the victim, when he beeped his horn, SPERANDIO slammed his breaks and pointed a firearm at him before fleeing.
Shortly after, SPERANDIO was located by Littleton Police and was taken into custody without incident. Officers were also able to locate the alleged firearm.
These are allegations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
