BEVERLY — Superintendent Suzanne Charochak is pleased to announce that Amy Blanchard has been selected to serve as the new principal of North Beverly Elementary School.
Principal Blanchard began her new role July 1.
Since 2013, Principal Blanchard has served Beverly Public Schools as a literacy coach and most recently as a mentor/induction program coordinator. She has previously served as a literacy coach, district literacy support specialist and teacher for Gloucester Public Schools. She has also worked as a teacher at St. Joseph’s School in Salem.
“Amy has nearly 21 years of experience in education, and from that she has a wealth of knowledge and insight that will help our young students to grow as learners,” said Superintendent Charochak. “I am so thrilled to have her aboard as the new principal of North Beverly Elementary and I am excited to watch her implement new initiatives to help students succeed.”
She holds a master’s degree in education from Lesley University and a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Salem State University. She also holds specialist’s degrees in educational leadership and reading from Gordon College.
“I strongly believe that all students have the ability to be successful and to excel in the school environment,” said Principal Blanchard. “At North Beverly, our goal is to have students running into the school building every morning and as principal, this will be something that I will strive for each and every day.”
Additionally, Principal Blanchard is married and has five children.
