Merrimac Police Share Composite Sketch of Suspect in Home Invasion and Assault

MERRIMAC -- Police Chief Eric Shears reports that the Merrimac Police Department is releasing a composite sketch of the suspect in a recent home invasion and assault.

MERRIMAC — Police Chief Eric Shears reports that the Merrimac Police Department is releasing a composite sketch of the suspect in a recent home invasion and assault.

Merrimac Police, the Essex State Police Detective Unit and the Essex District Attorney’s Office are actively investigating a home invasion during which a local woman was assaulted on Saturday. To learn more about the incident, click here.

Lincoln Police Detective Ian Spencer, who works with numerous area agencies, worked with the victim this afternoon to create the sketch based off of her description of the suspect.

The suspect is still at large and residents are urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity. The suspect is described as a white male 5’5 to 5’6” tall approximately 40 years old with short brown hair, a thin build and a light complexion with a seasonal tan.
