Police Report No Danger to Public
HOPKINTON — Chief Joseph Bennett reports the Hopkinton Police Department has charged a teenager in connection with a stabbing that occurred yesterday.
A JUVENILE MALE, AGE 14, OF HOPKINTON, is charged with:
- Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon
Police report there is no perceived threat to the public and all parties involved are known to each other.
At 1:48 p.m. on Thursday, Hopkinton Police responded to a report of a stabbing involving teens at an apartment complex on Constitution Court. Upon arrival, police found a 14-year-old Hopkinton boy had suffered injuries that are serious but not believed to be life-threatening. He was taken by ambulance to an area hospital.
The suspect voluntarily turned himself in to police on Thursday night. No bail was posted after he was booked and he was released into the custody of his parents overnight. He is expected to be arraigned in Framingham Juvenile Court later today.
Hopkinton Police are actively investigating the incident. Chief Bennett also wishes to thank the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office for their support throughout the investigation. No further information is available at this time.
