PETERBOROUGH — Superintendent Kimberly Rizzo Saunders is pleased to share that the District’s Assistant Superintendent has been honored by the New Hampshire School Administrators Association for exemplary achievement and leadership.
Dr. Ann Forrest received the 2021 Outstanding Service Award on Monday, June 28 at the NHSAA’s Annual Conference on Educational Leadership and 80th Business Meeting in Whitefield.
The Outstanding Service Award recognizes educational leaders who are not superintendents. NHSAA members nominate candidates, who are judged for initiative, growth, service to public education, and contributions to the educational achievements of their District.
Dr. Forrest began working in the District in 2008 as a literacy coach. She was named principal of the Antrim Elementary School and Pierce School in Bennington in 2013, and named Assistant Superintendent in 2016.
She has demonstrated exceptional leadership, provided a clear vision in meeting strategic plans, and solves problems with an eye toward clarity and detail. She has ensured a positive workplace culture. Her commitment to excellence in professional development has raised standards in all District schools.
“I’m incredibly honored to have been selected for the Outstanding Service Award this year,” Dr. Forrest said. “I work with a terrific ConVal team, and we supported one another during an extremely challenging school year. I am thankful for their support and share this honor with them.”
“Dr. Forrest treats every student and staff member with dignity and respect, exemplifying a positive climate and creating an atmosphere that encourages others to do the same. Dr. Forrest works proactively to anticipate problems, faces problems head-on when they arise, and works collaboratively to resolve,” Dr. Rizzo Saunders said. “She is dedicated to the ConVal community. Her achievements are beyond ‘outstanding;’ they are exceptional.”
