CHELMSFORD — Chief James M. Spinney is pleased to announce that a member of the Chelmsford Police Department recently completed his academy training and was sworn in as its newest officer.
Officer Christopher Chipchak graduated from the Cape Cod Municipal Police Academy this May. He was sworn in on Tuesday, June 1 outside of the Town Clerk’s Office by Assistant Town Clerk MaryLou Carney. He has since begun the department’s 10-week field training program.
“It’s a significant achievement to graduate from the police academy and a testament to Officer Chipchak’s drive to serve his community,” Chief Spinney said. “We’re pleased to welcome him as our newest officer and congratulate him on this milestone in his law enforcement career.”
Officer Chipchak holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Roger Williams University, and is a 2016 graduate of Chelmsford High School.
