TAUNTON — Superintendent John Cabral and Executive Director of Human Resources Dr. Cheryl Butts are pleased to announce the addition of a new Human Resources Manager and Human Resources Specialist to Taunton Public Schools’ Human Resources Department.
Melanie Rosado joined Taunton Public Schools’ Human Resources Department as the district’s new Human Resources Manager, and Rebecca Raposa will join as the district’s new Human Resources Specialist.
“We are pleased to be welcoming Melanie and Rebecca to our Human Resources Department within Taunton Public Schools,” Dr. Butts said. “Melanie and Rebecca are welcomed additions to the team as they bring with them a wealth of experience, and we look forward to growing the department alongside them.”
Melanie Rosado, Human Resources Manager
Rosado began this new role yesterday, May 24. In this role, Rosado will work with the Executive Director of Human Resources to plan and coordinate the human resources management activities of the Taunton Public School System to maximize the strategic use of human resources functions such as recruitment, personnel policies, CORI and SAFIS checks, and efficient and effective communication systems between and among various constituencies.
Prior to this role, Rosado served as the Human Resources Specialist for Sharon Public Schools. She also previously worked as a Human Resources Specialist for Allied Universal.
Rosado holds a bachelor’s degree in Communication from Salem State University.
Rebecca Raposa, Human Resources Specialist
Raposa will begin this new role on Monday, June 14. In this role, Raposa will assist the Executive Director of Human Resources and Human Resources Manager in addressing personnel and human resource needs of all employees within the Taunton Public Schools while also overseeing the necessary updates of databases and reporting of personnel information within and outside the district.
Prior to this new role within the district, Raposa served as a Program Director for Associates for Human Services’ Taunton Area School to Career program. She also previously worked at the Massachusetts Adoption Resource Exchange as a Child Services Coordinator and at South Bay Mental Health Center as a Family Service Provider.
Raposa holds a bachelor’s degree in Human Development/Psychology from Wheelock College.
