NORTH BERWICK — Chief Michael Barker reports that a community vaccination clinic scheduled for Tuesday at Noble High School has been cancelled.
All 500 people who made appointments to receive adose of the Johnson and Johnson vaccine at the clinic are being notified.
The North Berwick Rescue Squad was originally informed it would receive 500 doses to administer on Tuesday. However, local officials have since been informed of a shortfall of vaccinations from the federal government to the state. As a result of that shortfall, the state is unable to allocate the doses previously planned for the clinic.
The North Berwick Rescue Squad partnered with the York County Emergency Management Agency, Sanford Fire Rescue, North Berwick Police, North Berwick Fire, South Berwick Fire and Berwick Fire Rescue to organize the clinic.
All stakeholders will be notified as soon as more information is available about the status of the May 11 community clinic also planned to be held at Noble High School. No further information is available at this time.
