NEW LONDON, N.H.– Superintendent Winfried Feneberg is pleased to announce Kearsarge Regional High School’s February student of the month.
Rayna Tucker, a junior of Springfield, was selected as the February 2021 student of the month at Kearsarge Regional High School after being nominated by faculty for the honor.
“Rayna exemplifies all the qualities of a great student, including a desire to learn and a willingness to ask questions,” Superintendent Feneberg said. “Rayna continually sets a positive example for both her classmates and teammates and on behalf of the Kearsarge community, I would like to congratulate Rayna on this accomplishment.”
Tucker is an honor roll student at Kearsarge who has challenged herself by taking several Honors courses. Rayna is described as a kind, motivated and hard working student who brings her positive energy and sense of humor into the classroom daily.
“My Kearsarge education is so valuable to me because of teachers like Mr. Hattan and Dr. Downing who support their students through everything and are always there to help,” said Tucker. “Their positive attitude and greeting in the hallways pre-covid always brought a smile to my face and brightened my day.”
During her time at Kearsarge, Tucker has been a part of the Soccer and Cross Country teams. She is also a Co-Captain of the Women’s Varsity Basketball team, where her positive attitude and willingness to improve makes her a strong leader.
“Rayna’s work ethic is spectacular and her enthusiasm and personality is one of a kind. She is a great teammate and even better person,” said Women’s Varsity Basketball Head Coach Keith Roberts.
Kearsarge Regional High School’s Student on the Month program is sponsored by Tuckers of New London.
