SUDBURY – The Goodnow Library and Library Director Esmé Green invite the community to attend the library’s Facebook Live broadcasts for children ages 0-6, which are held four mornings each week.
“Our children’s programs are among our favorites. With the library closed due to the pandemic, our Facebook Live shows are our way to continue these programs and our outreach to the Sudbury community,” Library Director Green said. “The shows are both fun and educational and our staff does a great job.”
The scheduled live shows are:
- Mondays, 10-10:30 a.m., Music Makers. Tune in for a half hour of songs, musical instruments, and fun for children ages 0-5. Miss Heidi and Miss Amy lead the singalong, and sometimes bring special guests to help.
- Wednesdays, 10:30-11 a.m., Wee Reads. Join Miss Amy for short stories, songs, movement, and rhymes. Wee Reads is for children from birth to 18 months and encourages early literacy and parent/child interaction.
- Thursdays, 10:30-11 a.m. Tales for Tots. Miss Heidi hosts a program of stories, rhymes, fingerplay and songs. Tales for Tots is for children 18 months to 3 years and promotes early literacy skills.
- Fridays, 10:30-11 a.m., Preschool Storytime Fun. Join Miss Heidi for an interactive program designed for children ages 3-6 to promote reading readiness and learning about the world around them.
“People really love these broadcasts because they miss our staff and interacting with them,” Library Director Green said. “Amy and Heidi are beloved by many families.”
Registration for the Facebook Live broadcasts is not required.
