COHASSET — The Town of Cohasset and the Cohasset Department of Health would like to provide important information to residents regarding COVID-19 vaccine distribution in the Town of Cohasset.

The Town has taken several steps in recent weeks to prepare for and host vaccination clinics for residents as part of Phase 2 of the state’s distribution plan. To date the Town has been able to provide vaccinations to first responders and others in Phase 1 of the state’s plan, and a number of Cohasset residents aged 75 and above under Phase 2 of that plan. While the Town is prepared to continue to staff local vaccination clinics, its ability to do so is completely dependent on receiving vaccine doses from the State Department of Public Health.

At this time, no additional vaccine doses have been made available to the Town of Cohasset from DPH.

“We realize that residents are anxious to begin the process of receiving their vaccination, especially if they belong to one of the groups eligible under the current Phase, but our ability to administer the vaccine is contingent upon receiving doses from the state,” Cohasset Health Director Pamela Fahey said. “While we have been aggressively pursuing vaccine orders since they became available, our most recent request for vaccine doses was denied. This was the case in many neighboring communities as well. We want to ensure our residents that the Town of Cohasset will continue to pursue vaccines as much as possible and we will host additional clinics in the future once additional doses are received. The state has assured the Town that that they will deliver second shot doses so scheduled clinics will occur as planned.”

In the meantime, the Town of Cohasset is encouraging those residents who are currently eligible to receive the vaccine to make an appointment at a number of vaccination sites around the region. To view a map of vaccination sites, click here.

All sites require an appointment. To make an appointment at a vaccination site:

  • Visit mass.gov/covid-19-vaccine to find your phase and priority group
  • If you’re eligible, visit mass.gov/COVIDVaccineMap to find a vaccine clinic near you
  • Make an appointment online and fill out the attestation form
