Town of Easton staff will identify seniors who wish to be filmed and notify media members at the event. Media members are asked not to interrupt residents who are signing into the clinic and receiving their vaccinations.

Gov. Charlie Baker announced that individuals age 75 and older, the first priority group of Phase Two of the COVID-19 vaccine distribution plan, are eligible to receive COVID-19 vaccinations as of Monday, Feb. 1.

In addition to the Commonwealth’s vaccine sites available to eligible residents at www.mass.gov/covidvaccine, the Town of Easton is offering a clinic to Easton residents age 75 and older who have pre-registered with the Town.

Moderna vaccines will be administered at the Frothingham Hall clinic between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 5 by members of the Easton Fire Department, in partnership with the Department of Health and Community Services and with the support of Easton Police and Fire Service Medical Director Dr. Hank Crowley.

“We have worked around the clock and collaboratively with the Department of Public Health to have the opportunity to host a COVID-19 vaccination clinic in our community for our senior residents,” Chief Partridge said. “We look forward to administering the vaccine to them, and as a result, ensuring their health and safety as we continue to battle the ongoing COVID-19 health crisis.”

Added Director Kennedy, “We are thrilled to be vaccinating some of our most vulnerable residents in the coming weeks. While vaccination distribution is contingent on the number of physical vaccines available to us, it is our top priority to vaccinate as many senior residents as we can. As soon as we can vaccinate additional groups in Phase Two, we will plan accordingly.”

The Town of Easton will be rolling out vaccination events for all Phase Two groups in the community in the coming weeks. For additional information and to see the full priority list of Phase Two-eligible groups, click here.

Note: All media members planning on attending this event are asked to adhere to social distancing and mask-wearing guidelines at all times during the event.
