DARTMOUTH — Director of Public Health Christopher Michaud is pleased to announce that the Town of Darmouth will host a COVID-19 vaccination clinic for anyone currently eligible to receive the vaccine this weekend.
The Town of Dartmouth has a limited quantity of COVID-19 doses available to distribute to those eligible as part of Phase One or seniors age 75 and older, who became eligible to receive the vaccination as part of Phase Two on Monday.
The clinic will take place at Dartmouth High School, 555 Bakerville Road, on Saturday, Feb. 6. An appointment is required.
To make an appointment visit maimmunizations.org/clinic/search to find and select the Dartmouth High School location, select a time for an appointment and fill out the attestation form.
When registering for an appointment, patients will be asked a number of pre-screening questions which will be asked again upon the time of their inoculations.
Patients should note that they will not be able to receive the vaccine if they are sick, in isolation with an active COVID-19 infection, or have been exposed to a known COVID-19 positive patient in the last 14 days as of the day of their appointment. Patients will also be ineligible to receive the vaccine if they have received any other vaccine within the past 14 days.
If there are no appointments available through the link, the clinic is full. Residents are asked to remain patient and are encouraged to check the appointment webpage early and often each week as new appointments are added.
Patients are reminded that a second dose of the vaccine is required and you must receive the second dose at the same facility that you received the first dose.
The state has not yet announced when individuals 65-years-old and older and those with two or more comorbidities will be able to receive the vaccine. This will be announced when more information is available about additional doses of the vaccine to be provided to the state by the federal government.
Residents are encouraged to regularly check the town’s COVID-19 vaccination page as updates regarding the advancement of the vaccination rollout, clinic dates, times and locations, and registration information will be posted to the page as they become available.
