Raymond School District to Hold Deliberative Session This Weekend

RAYMOND -- Superintendent Tina McCoy would like to invite voters to attend the Raymond School District Deliberative session next weekend.

RAYMOND —  Superintendent Tina McCoy would like to invite voters to attend the Raymond School District Deliberative session this weekend.

WHEN:

Saturday, Jan. 30 at 10 a.m.

WHERE:

Raymond High School, 45 Harriman Hill Road

WHAT:

Community members are invited to attend this year’s Deliberative Session at Raymond High School on Saturday, Jan. 30, starting at 10 a.m.

Masks and social distancing will be in place for all who attend, unless they self identify as medically exempt from wearing a mask. Those who are unable to wear a mask will be able to participate in the meeting from the school’s media center, where they will be socially distanced from others.

Those who are considered high risk should they contract the disease will be able to participate in the meeting from the gym. Social distancing and masks will be mandatory and enforced for those who participate from this area.

There will be ample socially distanced overflow seating in the cafeteria as well.

Residents will have the opportunity to weigh in on and amend nine warrant articles proposed by the district. To view the warrant articles, click here.

“We have worked diligently to make sure that this year’s Deliberative Session will be safe for all who attend,” Superintendent McCoy said. “Thank you for your cooperation and understanding, and we look forward to seeing you this weekend.”

The Town’s Deliberative Session will be held on Saturday, Feb. 6 at 10 a.m. at Raymond High School and the same safeguards will be in place.

Voters will be able to vote on the warrant articles at this year’s Town Meeting, which is expected to be held on Tuesday, March 9. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and voting will take place at the Iber Holmes Gove Middle School Gymnasium.
