Remainder of Groups in Phase One Immediately Eligible to Receive Vaccination

DARTMOUTH — Director of Public Health Christopher Michaud and the Dartmouth COVID-19 Response Team wish to share with the community today’s announcement by the Baker-Polito Administration regarding the remainder of groups eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine as part of phase one.

On Thursday, Jan. 21, Gov. Charlie Baker announced that the remainder of individuals listed as part of phase one of the state’s vaccination distribution plan are immediately eligible to receive the vaccine.

The remaining phase one categories include home-based health care workers and health care workers providing non-COVID-19 facing care. This does not include those who do not come in contact with patients. For more information on the types of health care workers included in phase one, click here.

Dartmouth residents are reminded that the vaccine is not yet available to members of the general public, and the town is not taking reservations for general public vaccinations at this time.

A new state webpage has been launched to provide information for those now currently eligible for the vaccine. The page includes information on eligibility, requirements and vaccination sites and connects to the respective pages where eligible individuals can schedule an appointment.

In accordance with today’s announcement, the Dartmouth Board of Health is working to acquire vaccine doses to provide to those now eligible as part of phase one. Information regarding Dartmouth clinic locations will be shared as soon as the town receives a vaccine shipment. Once clinics are scheduled, registration information will be made available. The clinics will be open to any person eligible to receive the vaccination as part of phase one and residency is not required.

Residents are encouraged to regularly check the town’s COVID-19 vaccination page as updates regarding the advancement of the vaccination rollout, clinic dates, times and locations, and registration information will be posted to the page as they become available. Additional information regarding upcoming clinics is expected to be available on the page by the end of next week.

The Dartmouth COVID-19 Response Team encourages everyone to stay informed regarding the COVID-19 vaccination process. The following resources are recommended for the most up-to-date information:
