EAST BRIDGEWATER — Chief Paul O’Brien reports that the East Bridgewater Police Department’s proactive traffic enforcement efforts have led to multiple arrests recently.

Due to the proactive enforcement by the department’s patrol officers and detectives since late last month, three separate motor vehicle stops led to illegal drug distribution arrests.

Between Dec. 30 and Jan. 4, the East Bridgewater Police Department seized the following during the arrests:

  • 41 grams of fentanyl
  • 476 grams of marijuana, packaged for distribution
  • Numerous THC edibles, packaged for distribution
  • $7,707 in cash

“I would like to commend the men and women of the East Bridgewater Police Department for their proactive work in making these arrests,” Chief O’Brien said. “We will continue to do whatever we can to ensure these drugs are kept off of the streets of our town.”
