Auditions for the All-State ensemble will take place in January as well.
Additionally, the King Philip Music Department is introducing a new Alumni Series for students. The series will include a variety of workshops and performances featuring King Philip graduates who have pursued a career in music.
The upcoming dates for the Alumni Series are as follows:
- Monday, Dec. 14 at 5:30 p.m. Nick Beltramini ’19 and his jazz combo, Slightly Tooned, will present a performance on how to assemble your own jazz combo.
- Thursday, Dec. 17 at 7 p.m. Allison Parramore, Class of 2007, will present a flute masterclass and performance.
“We are so excited to give our students the chance to attend the Alumni Series for the first time ever,” Band Director Keough said. “This year, due to COVID-19 almost all of our normal musical events and ensembles were cancelled or substantially altered. This series will give our students the unique opportunity to learn from and engage with many alumni who have pursued careers in music.”
