WAKEFIELD– Superintendent David DiBarri is pleased to share that Northeast Metro Tech is holding a virtual open house for prospective students tonight.

Each year, Northeast Metro Tech holds an open house for prospective students and their families. Due to the ongoing pandemic, this year’s open house is being held remotely to allow for social distancing and to protect the wellbeing and health of all involved while still providing an opportunity for prospective students to see the school, learn more about its programs and more.

Open House information will be made live under the admissions tab of the district’s website tonight at 6 p.m., linked here. Those participating are encouraged to register for the entire event by clicking here  to be entered to win prizes.

The Open House includes a video tour of the Northeast Metro Tech facility, available above.

Those attending are also encouraged to register to participate in live question and answer sessions to be held later this month and in January. To register for a session, click here.

“The Open House is always an exciting event for interested students and their families to see the school, and learn more about the education, training and opportunities available here,” Superintendent DiBarri said. “We encourage any student interested in learning more to take part, and reach out to us with any questions they may have.”

The virtual Open House is intended for incoming freshmen for the class of 2025, those interested in transferring to the district and their families. Northeast Metro Tech serves students from the communities of Chelsea, Malden, Melrose, North Reading, Reading, Saugus, Stoneham, Wakefield, Winchester, Winthrop and Woburn. The district provides numerous programs in subject areas including automotive repair, automotive technology, carpentry, cosmetology, culinary arts, dental assisting, design and visual communications, drafting and design, early childhood education, electrical, health assisting, HVAC and refrigeration, metal fabrication, plumbing and pipefitting as well as robotics and automation.
