Raynham Police Investigating Bank Robbery

RAYNHAM -- Chief James Donovan reports that the Raynham Police Department is investigating a bank robbery that occurred earlier today.

RAYNHAM — Chief James Donovan reports that the Raynham Police Department is investigating a bank robbery that occurred earlier today.

At approximately 4:20 p.m., officers responded to the Citizens Bank inside of the Stop & Shop at 36 New State Highway for a reported unarmed robbery. Based on the initial investigation, police learned that a male suspect demanded money from a bank employee and subsequently fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect is described as a white male in his 30s or 40s and wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, jeans, work boots and a maroon mask.

The incident remains under investigation.
