On Wednesday, Nov. 18, members of the Northbridge Police Department, Blackstone Police Department, Hopkinton Police Department and Blackstone Valley Drug & Counter-Crimes Task Force, in cooperation with the Worcester DEA High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) Task Force and the U.S. Attorney General’s Office, arrested the three men as part of an ongoing investigation.
Police received information that the men were allegedly selling heroin and fentanyl in the Town of Blackstone. Following an extensive six-month investigation, police executed a search warrant at their apartment in Northbridge where all three men were arrested. More than 30 grams of heroin/fentanyl were seized by police during the search.
The men were each arraigned on the Blackstone charges in Uxbridge District Court on Nov. 18.
“I’d like to thank all of the officers and agents involved in this complex and lengthy investigation,” Chief Gilmore said. “This department’s ability to work effectively with the various local, state and federal agencies involved is a credit to Blackstone Police Lieutenant Shawn Brodeur and Detective Travis Loether. Their hard work continues to put drug dealers in the area on notice that we will not allow our community to be threatened by these crimes.”
These are allegations. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
