BOXBOROUGH – Police Chief Warren B. Ryder and Fire Chief Paul Fillebrown Jr. report that Boxborough Police and Fire Departments responded to an outdoor fire that destroyed five vehicles at a local auto shop this morning.
At approximately 5:21 a.m., Boxborough Police and Fire were dispatched to CBK Automotive Repair at 795 Mass Ave. for a reported outside fire and popping sounds. Upon arrival, first responders discovered that five vehicles stored in the yard of the business were on fire.
Members of the Stow Fire Department responded to assist at the scene. The bulk of the fire was knocked down by approximately 5:54 a.m.
No injuries or structural damage were reported. All five cars were totaled as a result of the fire.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Boxborough Police and Fire Department.
