Blue Hills Regional Technical School To Host Personal Guided Tours for Prospective Students

CANTON -- Superintendent Jill Rossetti and Principal Geoffrey Zini are pleased to announce that Blue Hills Regional Technical School will host personal guided tours in place of its annual open house for prospective students this weekend.

Face Coverings Will Be Required, Social Distancing Regulations Will Be in Place

CANTON — Superintendent Jill Rossetti and Principal Geoffrey Zini are pleased to announce that Blue Hills Regional Technical School will host personal guided tours in place of its annual open house for prospective students this weekend.

“We look forward to seeing prospective eighth grade students and their families this coming weekend and teaching them more about the potential career paths for their future,” Principal Zini said. “We encourage all to come and see see our newly renovated facility, and see what our career and technical programs can offer.”

WHEN:

Saturday, Nov. 14 from 9 a.m. to noon

WHERE:

Blue Hills Regional Technical School, 800 Randolph St, Canton, MA

WHAT:

The personal guided tours are open to eighth grade students and families from the district’s sending communities including Avon, Braintree, Milton, Canton, Norwood, Randolph, Dedham, Westwood and Holbrook. Parents and guardians must register one adult and one eighth grade student in advance for a tour of four to five vocational programs.

The touring options include:

  • Drafting, Electronics, Engineering, Collision Technology and Automotive Technology
  • Graphic Communication, DVC, Criminal Justice and Computer Technology
  • Construction Technology, Electricity, HVAC and Metal Fabrication and Joining
  • Culinary, Cosmetology, Early Ed and Care and Health Assisting

To register for any of the tour options, click here. Tours will be conducted every 20 minutes and are limited in size.

Those attending the personal guided tours will be required to adhere to numerous health and safety protocols that were implemented within the school to ensure everyone’s health and well-being.

In accordance with Gov. Charlie Baker’s orders, face coverings will be required for entry. Additionally, attendees will be required to follow social distancing guidelines. More information regarding the personal guided tours process and procedures will be provided upon registration.
